FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Class of 2017 in the state of Illinois is strong, and John Groce and Co. are trying to take advantage with multiple scholarship offers out to the state’s top players.
But the Illini aren’t limiting their search for 2017 talent. They’ve hit Indiana, Minnesota and Texas hard, too, and as of Tuesday night another offer was extended to a top player from Florida.
Four-star forward RaiQuan Gray announced via Twitter he had received an offer from Illinois.
The Illini have also offered Florida point guard Trent Frazier out of Wellington High School and have shown interest in Mayan Kiir, an Australian power forward playing at Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, Fla.
