There’s never been this much roster uncertainty for Illinois under John Groce. While Leron Black’s legal matters are headed toward a resolution, he, along with Jaylon Tate and Kendrick Nunn, remain suspended with spring workouts underway. Add in the wait on word for hardship waivers on Tracy Abrams (likely) and Mike Thorne Jr. (slim), and more than a third of the team’s status is unresolved.
