Back with the Illinois basketball team after being suspended for the 2014-15 season because of a variety of off-the-court issues culminating in an arrest in April of 2014, Illini forward Darius Paul has once again been suspended from the team, this time during it's foreign tour.
Illinois coach John Groce released a statement early Saturday morning announcing the news.
“Darius has been suspended indefinitely after violating team rules during our trip,” Groce said in a statement from Deauville, France. “We have specific standards of behavior for every member of our team and when those expectations are not met, there are consequences.
