CHAMPAIGN — Parkland baseball has imposed a 24-hour rule following big wins late in the season.
The Cobras allow themselves to celebrate the win for one day. Just 24 hours. Then it’s on to the next goal.
Parkland’s had two of those 24-hour celebrations in the past month. The first came after clinching the Mid-West Athletic Conference championship with a sweep of Lincoln on May 15. The second followed last Sunday’s pair of wins against No. 7 Heartland that secured the Cobras’ NJCAA Division II World Series berth.
Just 24 hours of celebration this week. Even if No.
