David Lesney and his wife, Diane, have supported University of Illinois women's basketball for 25 years, and Matt Bollant since he was introduced head coach more than three years ago.
A lawsuit filed against the university by seven players, accusing the coach and former assistant Mike Divilbiss of creating a "racially hostile environment," hasn't changed that.
"I don't believe any of these charges," said Lesney, an ex-officio board member of the Courtsiders, the program's support group.
"We've interacted very closely with Matt and the rest of the coaching staff since he arrived, and our interactions lead us to believe they're not true.
