The Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament has been relocated to Indianapolis for 2021.
According to a statement, the conference tourney will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium, which is also the site of this year’s Final Four.
The tournament was scheduled to be in Chicago this year, but the conference says it will be safer to follow COVID protocols if both the men’s and women’s tournaments are in the same city, and all surrounding venues are following such standards for safety.
The entire NCAA Tournament will also be held in Indiana this year, so the Illini are hoping to spend a lot of time in the Hoosier State in March and April.
