The Commission on College Basketball released its report Wednesday after a six-month study of the sport. College basketball writer SCOTT RICHEY weighs in with three thoughts:
One-and-done
Twelve years of the one-and-done rule is enough. The commission wants it abolished — now. Of course, it's the NBA and NBAPA's rule. They're not willing to move on it until maybe 2020. What the commission has considered if the NBA doesn't make a move is what's concerning. Declaring freshmen ineligible? Locking scholarships if a player leaves after one season? This benefits the student-athlete how?
