Beyond the arc: Hurley gaining early traction at UConn

There’s really no true offseason for college basketball. Here are three things that caught our
college basketball writer and AP Top 25 voter’s attention in the last week:

FRESH START

Kevin Ollie led UConn to the 2014 NCAA title. Four seasons later, the Huskies finished 14-18 and Ollie found himself out of a job. The renaissance might come quickly in Storrs. New coach Dan Hurley, who went 113-82 at Rhode Island, already had a commitment from one four-star guard in James Bouknight (a one-time Illinois target) before adding another with Jalen Gaffney's Monday commitment.
