CHAMPAIGN — Illinois softball’s Allie Bauch and Annie Fleming were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District first team Friday, marking the second time in program history the Illini have two individuals with that distinction.
Bauch, a senior infielder, and Fleming, a sophomore infielder, received the honor by being either a varsity starter or key reserve while maintaining a 3.30 or better grade-point average. Honorees must also be in at least their sophomore year of college.
Bauch is a two-time first-team honoree, while Fleming took her first CoSIDA award.
