Though Warren technically lives in a Big Ten state (Minnesota), the NFL and college sports have very little in common. Other than their interest in money. Lots and lots of money.
The 55-year-old former Penn and Grand Canyon basketball player starts work on Sept. 16. That gives him 3 1 / 2 months to hang out with Jim Delany, who ends his 30-year run on Jan. 1, 2020.
Right now, the Big Ten is in a happy place. The conference schools are well-funded.
