CHAMPAIGN — Four hours after wrapping up at Camp Randall Stadium, the Illinois football players and coaches were back in Champaign-Urbana on Saturday night.
Coming off a 29-point loss to the ranked Badgers, you might think watching more football would be the last thing on their minds.
But they checked out Purdue-Ohio State anyway. And saw the biggest upset in the Big Ten this season.
Not that Illinois offensive coordinator Rod Smith was surprised by the Boilermakers' performance.
"I told our staff that they would upset Ohio State," Smith said. "I think Purdue is a very good football team.
