Alabama transfer Eddie Smith committed to the Illini on Thursday morning, he announced via his personal Twitter.
Smith is listed at 6-foot, 195 pounds and was a top-500 recruit coming out of high school. He has appeared in 11 games in his time with the Crimson Tide, including the 2021 National Championship, but has failed to record any statistics.
