CHAMPAIGN — The 94th annual Illinois Basketball Banquet was held Monday at the I Hotel, but three current Illini were not in attendance.
Suspended players Leron Black, Jaylon Tate and Kendrick Nunn were never mentioned during the program and were not present at the event.
Black, a sophomore forward, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault on April 21 in connection with his arrest for threatening a campus nightclub bouncer in February.
Tate, a junior guard, was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery in March. Nunn, also a junior guard, was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery in March.
