MOSCOW, Idaho – After a thrilling win over No. 12 Eastern Washington on Saturday two Vandals have been recognized as ROOT Sports Big Sky Football Players of the Week. Junior linebacker Tre Walker took home the honors on defense, while senior punter Cade Coffey earned the award for his special teams efforts.
Walker tied for the team lead with 15 total tackles, into a Vandal-high 10 solo tackles. He also forced a fumble and recorded one of two Vandal sacks on the day. While this is a defensive award, it's worth noting that Walker's impact was not limited to the defensive side of the ball.
