Postseason aspirations for the Vandal volleyball team took another hit Thursday when Idaho dropped a three-set road match 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-18) to Sacramento State.
The Hornets (6-3, 12-11 overall) used 14 team kills to claim a back-and-forth first set, despite seven digs from Vandal defensive specialist Terra Varney.
Sacramento State gained momentum in the second set. The Hornets recorded a 10-2 run midway through the set.
After falling behind in the third set, Sacramento State produced a 7-0 run and won the third set and the victory, despite a late comeback attempt by Idaho.
