WALLA WALLA, Wash.—The Idaho men's tennis team got off to a hot start to the spring season with a 7-0 win over Whitman College on Saturday.
Idaho (1-0) made quick work of Whitman in doubles to open the match. The Vandals dropped just two sets combined in the three matches. Estaban Santibanez and Lucas Coutinho scored Idaho's first win of the day, 6-0, in No. 2 doubles. Idaho picked up a pair of 6-1 wins from Mark Kovacs and Carlos Longhi Neto and Felipe Fonseca and Guilherme Scarpelli to open 1-0.
