MARICOPA, Ariz. - The University of Idaho women's golf team used a total team effort to win the 19-team Wyoming Cowgirl Classic Tuesday.

Senior Kristin Strankman led the way for the Vandals with her tie for sixth with a 54-hole 218. Helping add to Idaho's eight-stroke victory were a tie for ninth by senior Cassie McKinley and freshman Michelle Kim, along with Kendall Gray's tie for 20th and Sophie Hausmann's tie for 23rd.

Idaho had a three-round total 873 with Santa Clara second at 881, Washington State third at 885 and Nevada fourth at 888.

"We had every member of our team contribute this week so it was a total team effort," coach Lisa Johnson said.
