MOSCOW, Idaho – It was an incredible game from start to finish, but Southern Utah (4-11, 2-3 BSC) took down Idaho (11-7, 3-2 BSC), 85-83, in overtime on Saturday night at the Cowan Spectrum.
“Well obviously we’re very disappointed,” head coach Don Verlin said. “I thought Southern Utah dictated the tempo of the game. I thought they played harder than we did. They made the plays when they needed to.”
Idaho scored the first six points in the overtime frame, with Pat Ingram finishing the old fashioned 3-point play and Victor Sanders draining a corner 3-ball, but the Vandals went cold from there.
