HOUSTON, Texas - Coach Mark Sowa was pleased with the University of Idaho's performances during the second day of the Western Athletic Conference Meet.
The Vandals grabbed points from just about every event to close to within 21 points of second and just 14 out of third. Northern Arizona is the leader after two days wtih 379.5 with New Mexico State at 196, Cal State-Bakersfield at 189 and Idaho at 175.
"This is certainly going to be a close meet and tonight proved it," Sowa said. "Today, on paper, is our weakest day and we are sitting 21 points out of second place so I think we are in a good position to make a move.
