Idaho's freshmen quarterbacks – Gunnar Amos (redshirt) and Mason Petrino (true), saw their first collegiate action at Washington Saturday. Amos scored his first collegiate touchdown on a six-yard run in the fourth quarter and Petrino led the Vandal ground game with 48 yards on nine carries (none for a loss).
Senior Austin Rehkow, the current active NCAA punting leader, averaged 47.4 yards per kick to push his season average to 43.8. That's good enough for second in the Sun Belt and 25th nationally in week two of the 2016 season.
