SAN MARCOS, Texas - It's understandable a team from the Northwest might take a few holes to break loose from winter, which is why coach Lisa Johnson is optimistic about her team's chances heading into the final round of the All-There August Challenge.
The University of Idaho women's golf team improved by 10 strokes from round one to round two to head into the final 36 holes in eighth place.
"The team was extremely prepared and excited for our first two rounds of competition today," said Johnson, adding. "We were tentative with our approach shots early on and showed some rust on the greens.
