SUZHOU, China – Idaho closed out group play at the Atlas Challenge on Thursday, falling to Macedonia 69-67. The Vandals finish the opening round 1-2.
Macedonia brought an American-heavy roster featuring four athletes that played college ball in the states. All four played 23-plus minutes and contributed 53 of Macedonia’s 69 points.
Three games in three days proved to be a very difficult challenge for the Vandals. Idaho led for the majority of the game on Thursday but could not hold on. The Vandals led late, 67-59, but Macedonia responded to close out the game on a 10-0 run and claim the win.
