PORTLAND—For the second consecutive season the Vandal men’s tennis team was downed by the University of Portland, 7-0, on Saturday. Idaho evens out its record now at 1-1 in the early going.
Portland scored the day’s first point in doubles. The Pilots took the No. 3 court, 6-2, at the start. The Idaho pair of Odon Barta and Felipe Fonseca recorded a 7-5 win on the No. 2 court. Portland scored a 6-4 win on the top court, securing the 1-0 advantage.
The Vandals were unable to recover in singles play.
