Vandals Fall at #17 WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. – It's not often that Idaho soccer runs into a nationally ranked team, but the Vandals hung in with No. 17 Washington State on Thursday night, eventually falling 3-0 after a pair of goals in the final 20 minutes.

"Brilliant performance by our players. To go up against the No. 17 team in the country on their home field, I think we frustrated them," said head coach Jeremy Clevenger. "We played with them. We knew we were going to defend a bit more than attack, and that's fine. It's a great lesson for us, we can play with a team like this.
