FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Idaho Vandals (12-17, 11-9) fell to Northern Arizona (15-13, 12-8) 86-69 to close out the regular season.
The Vandals shot just 24.1 percent from the field and got outscored 47-27 in the second half as Northern Arizona pulled away to win the regular-season finale.
Sydney Gandy tied a career-high 22 points on 7 of 14 shooting to lead the Vandals. She made a career-high five 3-point field goals.
Idaho started hot, quickly building a 21-8 lead with just under 3-minutes left in the first. But NAU responded with an 8-0 run to close the quarter and cut the lead to 21-16.
