MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandals fought to a 1-1 draw on Thursday night against the Washington State Cougars in an exciting edition of the Battle of the Palouse.
u200bA crowd of 2,156 packed the stands, marking the second-largest soccer attendance nationwide for the day, just behind the Duke-Arkansas matchup (2,652).
u200bIdaho got to work right from the start, with Georgia Whitehead and Hallie Prinos-Grumbach creating an opportunity for Calli Chiarelli within the first five minutes. Finding the bottom right corner, Chiarelli secured the first goal of the game, as well as her first goal at Idaho.
