SAN MARCOS, Texas - Scores soared Monday for the University of Idaho women's golf team as it ended the break from competition with a 10th-place finish at the All-There August Challenge at San Marcos, Texas.
"We definitely have room for improvement," coach Johnson said after the Vandal battled consistency throughout the tournament. After opening rounds of 308-298, they climbed to 317 over the final 18 holes to finish at 923.
Freshman Michelle Kim and senior Cassie McKinley led the team with Kim tying for 36th at 230 and McKinley in a tie for 38th at 231. Amy Hasenoehrl was another three strokes back at 234 and tied for 46th.
