One of the most dominant defensive performances in the past 20 years was the impetus behind Idaho's victory at Louisiana-Lafayette last Saturday evening. The Vandals yielded just 266 total yards – 105 rushing and 161 passing, en route to the 23-13 decision at Cajun Field.
In more than 200 games since 1999, those are the 14th fewest yards given up by an Idaho defense. The fewest in that span is 171 to Utah State in 1999. It was a collaborative effort with linebacker Tony Lashley leading the way with 13 total tackles (four solo and nine assists), linebacker Kaden Elliss with eight tackles of which two were sacks (-14 yards) and lineman Aikeem Coleman, who added two more sacks to his impressive first-year resume`.
