Ungerer Drafted by CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats

TORONTO, Ontario – Idaho wide receiver David Ungerer was selected in the second round of the Canadian Football League Draft, going to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with the 11th overall pick Thursday. Ungerer is the fourth Vandal to be taken in the modern CFL Draft, dating back to 1985, and the third in the last five years.

Ungerer stepped up as a senior, leading Idaho's receivers and posting a career year. He earned two All-Big Sky honors, being named third-team all-league at receiver and honorable mention as a return specialist. Ungerer led the Vandals with 69 catches for 697 yards and four touchdowns.
