Two Vandals Break School Records as Track and Field Wrap Up the Final Weekend of Regular Season

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandal track and field squad rounded out their last weekend of competition with two new school records from Kelsey Swenson and Lorenz Herrmann in addition to several top-three finishes and personal bests.

Record Breakers
Swenson set the new record with a time of 16:21.44 in the women's 5,000-meter run. She beat a 41-year-old record previously held by Patsy Sharples in 1982 (16:23.80). Swenson's time ranks sixth in the conference, less than a minute behind the leader.

Herrmann joined Swenson a day later with a time of 1:47.
