Sykes is just the third Vandal men's golfer to win an individual conference title, joining Jared Du Toit who won the Big Sky title in 2015 and Dale Faylor who earned the Pacific Coast Conference Northern Division co-championship in 1952.
Consistency was key for Sykes who finished three-under 69 in the first round, followed by back-to-back rounds of two-under 70.
