SAN JOSE, Calif.—Idaho women’s tennis fell in a tight 4-3 battle at San Jose State on Sunday. The Vandals got three singles win on the day, but were unable to secure the clinching point.
Idaho (10-8) fell behind early, dropping the doubles point to the Spartans. SJSU took the first two courts, 6-0, 6-1. Idaho was up 4-2 on the No. 3 court, before it was abandoned.
San Jose State claimed the day’s first singles point, taking a 2-0 lead. Marie Klocker handled Ana Batiri in No. 2 play, 6-1, 6-0.
