MOSCOW, Idaho -- The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is ecstatic to announce the signing of Sebastjan Bas to the class of 2023. Bas comes to Idaho from the town of Celje in Slovenia and will make an immediate impact for the Vandals.
Bas made a splash in the 2020 season prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the Slovenia under-18 National Championships in Novo Mest that February, Bas bested the field for the national title in what was then a personal best time.
From 2019 to 2021, Bas continued to better his marks from the 400 meters and 800 meters, and raced at the national championships showcasing his talent and signs of the amazing season yet to come.
