MOSCOW, Idaho – The score may have been lop-sided but head coach Paul Petrino said that wasn’t what mattered most in Friday night’s spring finale for the University of Idaho football team.

He applauded his team’s progress as it heads into a break before gearing up for the 2016 season – his fourth as the Vandals’ head coach.

“We’ve made great improvement all the way around,” Petrino said after the No. 1 offense put up 80 points on the No. 2 defense before he called the game as the fourth quarter was beginning. “I got to see what I wanted to see.
