Sherrell Leads Way on Day One

BREMERTON, Wash. - Idaho men's golf teed off the 2019-20 season Monday, with the first two rounds of the Husky Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club's Olympic Course. The Vandals are in 15th place through 36 holes, led by sophomore Colt Sherrell at 4-over and tied for 47th individually. Idaho tees off the final round Tuesday, at 8:40 a.m. on the back nine.

Sherrell came out strong in the first round, posting two birdies and an eagle to shoot 2-under. He helped Idaho record a 7-over 295 to start the year. The score had the Vandals in 12th place and six strokes outside the top half of a formidable field.
