Drew Thompsonset a decathlon PR with 6296 points in the California Invite B group, taking seventh overall. Thompson finished in the top-five in three events, including setting a PR in the 100-meter dash at 11.37 seconds and taking fourth. He placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.08 seconds) and fifth in the high jump (1.92 meters), and also set an outdoor PR in the pole vault with a leap of 3.
