MOSCOW, Idaho – For the second straight game it came down to late free throws to decide the winner. Where they faltered before, the Vandals shone tonight, as drained a pair at the line with 10 seconds left to give Idaho (13-9, 5-4 BSC) the 56-55 win over Portland State (7-12, 3-5 BSC).

“I thought we showed our toughness tonight, no question about it,” head coach Don Verlin said. “We battled every possession. I thought our guys continued to fight all night long. We got a lot of really good stops and good defensive rebounds down the stretch.
