MOSCOW, Idaho – Junior guard Victor Sanders has been recognized by the conference for his performance last week as the Big Sky Player of the Week. Sanders averaged 21 points, 2.3 boards and 2.7 assists per game last week as the Vandals went 2-1 during one of their toughest stretches of non-conference play.
Sanders stepped up at Little Rock with veteran point guard Perrion Callandret out to play a career-high 38 minutes. He finished with 20 points on that night, hitting 3-of-5 from deep, as Idaho knocked off a Trojan team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season.
