STANFORD, Calif. – Soggy rough and greens slowed by a day of rain took a toll on the University of Idaho women’s golf team as it dropped back to 15th at the NCAA Stanford Regional Friday.
“The weather impacted us a little bit,” said coach Lisa Johnson, adding that her team’s struggles were more on the greens in the form of three-putts than in the dense, wet rough. “Our speed wasn’t as good as it was (Thursday). It was a combination of not being on the correct part of the green and because the rain effected the speed.
