Idaho is 3-3 overall and 1-1 in Sun Belt action after a thrilling victory at Louisiana-Monroe last Saturday. New Mexico State, which is coming off a bye week, is 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the Sun Belt. Both team have league losses to Troy – Idaho 34-13 and NMSU 52-6.
THE COACHES
PAUL PETRINO is in his fourth season at Idaho. While it is his first head coaching job, it is not Petrino's first stint at Idaho. His coaching career began at Carroll College (his alma mater, 1989). From Carroll, he went to Idaho where he coached running back, receivers and special teams from 1992-94.
