BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - Valeria Patino shot an even-par 72 Friday, to lead Idaho women's golf in the first round of the Bryan National Collegiate Invitational. Patino is tied for 13th through 18 holes, while the Vandals sit in a tie for 12th at 17-over 305. Idaho is 10 strokes out of seventh place. It is Idaho's first appearance at the event hosted by Wake Forest, played at the Bryan Park Champions Course.
" This golf course is a fun challenge," said head coach Lisa Johnson. "I am confident we will improve our scoring tomorrow after having seen the course for the practice round and the first round of competition.
