SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Idaho men’s tennis took care of business on Saturday, defeating No. 3 Northern Arizona, 4-1, in the Big Sky Championship Semifinals. The Vandals advance to the championship match for the second straight season where they will take on top-ranked Weber State.
Idaho took control early, winning the doubles point. Jackson Varney and Artem Vasheshnikov came out victorious at first doubles, 6-4. Mark Kovacs and Lucas Coutinho needed some extra tennis to get the job done at third doubles, but handled their opponent in the tiebreaker to take the point, 7-6 (6-0).
