The season came to an end for the University of Idaho women’s basketball team last week, but senior guard Taylor Pierce will get one more chance to showcase her 3-point prowess.
Pierce was chosen to compete in the 31st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships on Thursday at Target Center in Minneapolis. The event starts at 7 p.m. MT on ESPN.
The Vandals lost to Arizona 68-60 on March 28 in the WNIT’s Round of 16. Pierce made six 3-pointers in the loss, increasing her season total to 154. The mark is tops in the nation this season and an NCAA single-season record.
