FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – A late comeback effort was not enough, as Idaho (14-10, 6-5 BSC) fell to Northern Arizona (4-18, 2-9 BSC), 72-70, in a back-and-forth matchup on Saturday afternoon.
“Credit to Northern Arizona, but I didn’t think we were tough enough tonight,” said head coach Don Verlin. “I thought they were able to do some things that we were trying to prevent tonight. We didn’t do a good enough job of sealing our gaps, we didn’t do a good enough job of defending without fouling. We didn’t do a good enough job of rebounding.
