MISSOULA, Mont. – The Idaho women's tennis team fell to Montana 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at the Peak Racquet Club.
Idaho trailed early on in the competition after Montana picked up wins in two out of three doubles matches. Saffron Dowse and Rachelle Starreveld teamed up to win 6-4 over the Grizzlies' pair at the No. 3 spot but UM used a 6-3 win at No. 1 and a 7-6 (11-9) tiebreak victory at No. 2 to go up 1-0.
Annabel Davis and Valentina Rodas each found success in singles play for Idaho, as both earned wins at their respective positions.
