SAN DIEGO – Johannes Hounsgaard finished five under to earn runner-up individual honors, leading the Vandal men's golf team to a second-place finish at the UC San Diego Invitational on the North Course at legendary Torrey Pines, Tuesday.
"I am extremely proud of the whole team this week," Head coach David Nuhn said. "I thought they worked hard in practice, then prepared to battle in a tough round one. After that, they played great in rounds two and three to have our best finish of the season so far. I'm thrilled for Johannes, playing to his ability and showing everyone he's as talented as we all know he is.
