University of Idaho freshman Sophie Hausmann earned her second Golfer of the Week award of the season when she was recognized Wednesday by the Big Sky Conference for her tie for 28th at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational last week.
Hausmann, who missed the early part of the spring with a back injury, had rounds of 76-74-75 for a nine-over 225 for the tournament.
"Sophie has rebounded from her injury this spring with some impressive play," coach Lisa Johnson said. "Her putting has greatly improved since last semester and her work ethic is second to none.
"The Big Sky Player of the Week honor is hard-earned, and we are proud of Sophie for her dedication to her game and Vandal golf.
