BOULDER CITY, Nev.- Idaho junior Sophie Hausmann was named the 2018 Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Year, as the league announced its annual awards Thursday, ahead of the conference championship. Hausmann is the first Idaho women's golf student-athlete to be named the Big Sky Golfer of the Year. Her award is the eighth player of the year honor for a Vandal regardless of conference, which have now been earned by six different student-athletes.
Hausmann was also named to the All-Big Sky First Team for the third consecutive year. She was joined as an all-conference selection by teammates Valeria Patino and Michelle Kim.
