AUGUSTA, Ga. – Idaho women's golf senior Sophie Hausmann is tied for 21st after one round of the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur, shooting a 1-over 73 Wednesday, at the Champions Retreat Golf Club. The top 30 competitors after Thursday's second round qualify for the final round Saturday, to be played at Augusta National. All 72 participants will play a practice round Friday, at the storied course.
Hausmann started her day on the back nine, carding a birdie on her second hole. She reeled off 10 straight pars and was comfortably in the top 10.
