PULLMAN, Wash.—The Vandal women’s tennis team fought to a 5-2 decision over former conference rival Seattle U on Thursday. Idaho took the match in come from behind fashion after losing out on the doubles point.
Seattle U got a quick start in doubles with a 6-4 win on the No. 1 court. The Vandal duo of Ana Batiri and Lucia Badillos scored a 6-3 win on the No. 3 court. The doubles point went down to the wire on the No. 2 court. Madison Maloney and Barbara Carey outlasted Maria Tavares and Rita Bermudez, 7-6, to put the Redhawks up early.
